Art Warehouse Sweets

Since I have to work tomorrow I am posting now. This is on the Art Warehouse blog right now. After that last post I needed something sweet! Happy Thursday everyone!!

from Monday. Trying to potty train the little guy today. I am so pooped. He's not. In fact that is the whole problem. He will not poop on the potty. He tried to sneak off in his bedroom closet where he likes to go for privacy and when I tried coaxing him to the bathroom he decided he didn't need to go. He had no accidents all day. I tried to bribe him and told him I would get him this toy he wants. He spent a good hour crying about it today. My head is about to blow. I'm so tired of family members bugging me about his potty habits. I'm sure they mean well, but he is such a stubborn little guy and sometimes I just want to tell everyone to mind their own business. You can only push him so far and I'm the one who suffers the repercussions. Okay, sorry. I promised I wouldn't whine on my blog, but I hate to receive unsolicited parenting advice more than anything in the world. Every child is different and learns at their own pace. You don't need an education degree to figure that one out. :) So on that note...Happy Wednesday!!

We had a really nice weekend. I went with my parents on Saturday to decorate graves and then we stopped at Buffalo Days (it's like a small town carnival..they have it right on the square and everything). No, we didn't participate in the buffalo chip throwing contest, but we still had fun. We had already eaten at this really cute little restaurant called Cooky's, so no we didn't eat any Buffalo either. We did have a fair amount of fried chicken and pie...mmmmmm. Today, we went to dh's parents and I got some cutie pics of the kids, but that's for another day:) I need to get some sleep so I don't fall asleep at work tomorrow.

Yes, I love tote bags and purses. I finished this one yesterday. I sewed the heart and flower on, the ribbon around the handles, and altered the hang tags (they are Creative Imaginations). Now I'm off for a fun filled family day! Happy Memorial Day!

I am finishing projects today. I am the Queen of Unfinished projects. I like to start things and then find something better to work on. I have finished 4 things today. Yay!!

Super Duper Day!

This has been the best day. I got to go to an inservice at the school I'll be working at next year. Everyone is so nice. I tell ya, I'm as passionate about teaching as I am about scrapbooking. It is so awesome to be with other people who share your philosophy of teaching. Then I stopped by my LSSand the whole Love Elsie line was in. Well, now it's all at home with me. LOL! I had an hour before school got out so I made a quick layout!

Meet Our New Baby!

Did you know we were expecting? Expecting this little one since she was just days old. Finally she got to come home yesterday. She's not really ours...dad won't allow pets, but grandma and grandpa (mostly grandpa) decided the kids needed a puppy, so they got one. Adorable isn't she? I'm not sure what the little guy is doing, but I love the picture. Yes, it says Crazy on his shirt.

Saturday!

Finally Saturday! This was such a long week. I was so tired last night. Now, I have some time to myself and I'm trying to decide what needs to be done first. Laundry, cleaning, a little scrappin'? I'm anxiously awaiting some new Art Warehouse prototypes to play with. I think everyone is going to love the stuff that's coming out. I know I do! Maybe I'll have a scrappy post later if I get in gear.

I Did It!

I finally got a job. I'm going to be a 3rd/4th grade reading teacher. So totally happy. I couldn't imagine a better job! So, I can't have a post without a pic...here is my sweet girl. Love the look on her face.

Crash!

I took this picture Monday night, but it just sums up their whole relation- ship. He is looking for someone to crash into and she is constantly jumping in his way and laughing about it. Yikes! I had to take them grocery shopping tonight and somehow managed to come out of 2 less marbles than I went in with, but somehow ended up with 2 packages of mini M&Ms someone snuck in the cart. Then the nightly homework battle began. I want to teach so badly, you would think I could reach my own child. Not at all. It's a good thing I don't use her for a reference on my application. She says I am telling her the wrong thing. I'm not a real teacher. Should I argue this point. Does she need a copy of my certificate? Or should I just pinch her head off right now? Just kidding. I love her. Children need to make meaning out of learning. She needs to connect it with something she knows and can relate to. I know all of this. I can help. It all goes out the window with your own child.
