I'm Blushing!

Went a little crazy with the Basic Grey Blush. First I altered the box, but then I needed something to put in the box. Of course, I love circle albums, so I thought why not another one?? It fits perfectly. Then I had some left over pieces and this cute little jar and a wooden clothespin I picked up at Hobby Lobby. There you go!! Don't tell Basic Grey I used almost their entire card kit and didn't make a single card!

The Last Christmas Present!

This was the final Christmas present I made! They are altered photo albums from Wal-Mart. One for each season filled with seasonal pictures of the family for grandma and grandpa. I'm sure some of you are still having Christmas. I'm so thankful ours are all celebrated and we can enjoy our gifts and one another. My little girl is sick, so she is enjoying her Littlest Pet Shop from bed. It's just not fair! (That's what she keeps telling me!) Happy Holidays!

Color Theory Watering Can!

THIS POST HAS BEEN EDITED! YOU CAN SEE THE FLOWER FRAME IN PAPERTRENDS JUN/JULY ISSUE! Here are the pics of my mom's Christmas presents. A card, a watering can with flowers and a picture frame. Yes, I am a cheapo ...that is free paper baby!! Isn't it beautiful!! I have been promising pics to my girlfriend for 2 days now, so here they finally are. I haven't been totally in love with one of my own projects in a really long time, but I think I am with this one. I need visitation rights. Love me some flowers! So would you like a little funny peek inside my brain?? See, this is what I call a born idea. I have been carrying this project around inside my head for months. I just needed more time. Finally, Christmas is upon us! I found myself in my scrapbook room at 3 am in a paper storm. My husband found me and demanded I put myself back in bed and how could I possibly tell him I was giving birth? There was no sitting and thinking ..should I do this or that. What embellish -ment or paper should I use. It was already there. I love that! It usually only happens with projects. That's why I love to alter or do mini albums. I just never have born ideas with layouts. I have to sit and push paper around forever. I told my girlfriend this and she just cracked up. Sorry about all the pics, but all the flowers are different so I wanted close ups. Hope you love these as much as I do! Have a Merry Christmas!!

A Couple of Fun Ones!

Not much new here. Sorry I haven't updated this sooner, just nothing exciting to post. The little girl child at my house has been rebelling against the camera. I have been too busy to scrap much. I am in the middle of a project. I can't wait to share it! The Mod Podge is still drying! Mod Podge is so good for the soul! I did these 2 layouts for total fun and enjoyment a couple of weeks ago. I especially love that pic of the Ashley in the tire swing. Just one I snapped on the fly and it turned out so accidentally beautiful to me. Love those. Of course you knew I loved it, it is the header on my blog. Just a reminder for me to LIVE, LOVE, & LAUGH OUT LOUD a little more! I'm off to work today! Happy Thursday!

My Little Girl

Aren't we the cutest? Okay, I'm kind of glad I can't hear the answer to that. She is the cutest! This was yesterday after the holiday party. I don't have very many pictures of us together, so I just love it! Happy Saturday! We are off to another party today!

Altered Winter KI Alpine Frame

Here is a window frame I altered. This thing was a pain! I should have done three strips, but instead I wanted the pieces to overlap. It didn't quite turn out like I dreamed, but I like it. It's a gift for someone..I think! Well, I'm officially pooped! School Christmas parties today, and then a birthday party at Build-a-Bear for a friend. AND.. we went out to dinner..EEK on a Friday night! What a crazy day! Hope everyone is ready for a Super weekend!!

Random Happiness Jars

Here are those cute little jars I bought at Deals. I didn't have any problem filling them up. I hung some things from shelf that make me happy. Just thought I would share. Love my scrapbook room. It's a little busy. It would make some people crazy, but it makes me perfectly happy.

Little Candy Jars & My Santa Girl

If you are on my Christmas list you are probably getting one of these candy jars in one form or another. I am not only bucket crazy, but I also love little glass jars. I spray painted the front of these and added a rub on. Then I tied ribbon on each one. So, they are special jars! If you get one, you'll know it was made with love! Here is also a pic of my little sweetie in her Santa hat. She has been wearing it a lot lately. Not because she just loves it that much, but because she really needs a hair cut. Every time I say, "Go get a barette," she comes in wearing the hat. One another note: I am going to take my last final tonight! This final is the difference in an A or a B for me. Wish me luck!

A Bucket for a Friend!

I have a bucket addiction. Did you notice? I've had it for awhile, but after I got that silly Crop-a-Dile, things have gotten out of hand. As long as I keep giving them away and they don't pile up in my house things will be okay! I do love this one!

Beautiful Girls!

This did not photograph so well. Annika's picture turned out looking grainy and harsh. It is actually one of the best pics I have ever taken. I was going to take it outside and try again, but it's taken me a week to get this one, so this will have to do. Two of my favorite little cuties. I don't know how Lyd and I managed to get such beautiful girls!

Santa Clause is Coming to Town!

The Christmas parade was today! We were so excited! Well, at least I was. I always think I am quite the photo- grapher (sheesh!) and I am going to get like a million awesome shots and out of the 10 I took I got 1 good one, so it goes as usual. Just happy I got one good one. Zero decent of the little guy. He wouldn't even obey by conventional laws of society today, let alone smile pretty for the camera. After sleeping on a concrete floor in front of the shark tank at the Wonders of Wildlife Museum with 21 Brownies, I wasn't in any condition to be wrestling with him. I'm just lucky he didn't get run over and I managed to get him back to the car when it was over. I was never so happy to see Santa in my entire life. You know Santa comes at the end, right? Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

A Quick Little Gift

Here's a quick little gift I made last night while I was up roaming the hours in the wee hours of the morning. These jars are so fun to alter. I picked this one up at Hobby Lobby. Wonder who will be getting this one?? Hmmmm? Decisions, Decisions! No Lydie, you already got your present!

Jingle All The Way!

I know some of you have seen this little guy, but my family members do not frequent scrapbook websites where I post, so I thought I would post it here. Yesterday it went to it's new home, so I hope it jingled all the way there! Sometimes I feel like such a dork that I spend my tiny bit of free time punching holes in metal buckets and tying jingle bells on them. I have had such a tiny bit of free time lately. Finals week doesn't officially start until next week, but in a master's program there are typically papers and projects due at the end instead. I am so lucky I get to have both! Of course I put everything off as long as I can, so I have been going as fast as I can the last few days. Two papers left and then I can do normal people things again until next semester. Normal people do not blog at 4 in the morning! Normal people do not lay in bed at night contemplating the woes of public education? Do they? Normal people tie jingle bells on buckets!! A Snow Day!

We officially had a snow day. Wed- nesday it was 70 degrees and the very next day people were out of power due to ice. Gotta love Missouri weather. Friday we finally got a day off school. The kiddos are loving the white stuff. They stay outside until they just can't take it any longer.

Officially A Good Mail Day!

My prize for the KI contest came today! I was so excited I wanted to hug to the UPS guy. I said, "I have been waiting for this box my whole life!" to my 7 year old who replied, "Don't you think you're being a little dramatic?" Okay, maybe a little, but free, yummy scrapbook goodies? A whole entire box of them? After playing with a 3 year old all day and telling him to take his finger out of his nose about 20 times, this is REALLY exciting stuff! My daughter was excited too because now she officially gains ownership of my Ipod shuffle. Thanks KI for making my day!

Altered Christmas Magnet Board

Here is a magnetic chalkboard I made for a gift! There is a little acrylic frame on the board that I stamped on and added some glitter and a felt snowflake. These things are really quick and run to make. Sorry the pics didn't turn out so great. They skies are really overcast this morning. The colors showed up a little weird! Happy Monday!

Christmas photo shoot!

Shoot! is more like it! The little guy's head almost popped off when he found out I wanted him to wear something other than sweat pants and a t-shirt without a tag in it. He is so picky about what he wears. He hates jeans. He had to sit in time out for awhile and think about it. I know...such a mean mom. I did let him have the option of going barefoot and he did wear his t-shirt over the nice shirt until we got ready to take the pics. He's such a hard head.
