My prize for the KI contest came today! I was so excited I wanted to hug to the UPS guy. I said, "I have been waiting for this box my whole life!" to my 7 year old who replied, "Don't you think you're being a little dramatic?" Okay, maybe a little, but free, yummy scrapbook goodies? A whole entire box of them? After playing with a 3 year old all day and telling him to take his finger out of his nose about 20 times, this is REALLY exciting stuff! My daughter was excited too because now she officially gains ownership of my Ipod shuffle. Thanks KI for making my day!
Here is a magnetic chalkboard I made for a gift! There is a little acrylic frame on the board that I stamped on and added some glitter and a felt snowflake. These things are really quick and run to make. Sorry the pics didn't turn out so great. They skies are really overcast this morning. The colors showed up a little weird! Happy Monday!

Shoot! is more like it! The little guy's head almost popped off when he found out I wanted him to wear something other than sweat pants and a t-shirt without a tag in it. He is so picky about what he wears. He hates jeans. He had to sit in time out for awhile and think about it. I know...such a mean mom. I did let him have the option of going barefoot and he did wear his t-shirt over the nice shirt until we got ready to take the pics. He's such a hard head.

Okay, I just love these. I didn't even mean to make one. I didn't use my Crop-a-Dile this time. I found these cute little wooden pins at Joann's last night for $1.00. I added some ribbon and some rub ons. I thought it would make a great teacher gift. I'm going to keep this one. It would be great to put pointers or book marks in for a reading center. I think I'm going to keep rulers in it on my table at school for now. The kids get such a kick out of these! It would also look cute with my daughter's colored pencils in it on her desk. Maybe she can have it after school is out!!

So I couldn't put the Grateful away. I had all these great fall pics and since I gave away my decor piece I hadn't really scrapped all of my favorites for myself yet. So I made this little album. There are 6 inch chipboard circles in between each page. I have such a thing for circles. I try not to use them all the time, but I just LOVE them! I think it's the elemen -tary teacher in me. Circles and flowers just make me smile. So this is my Thanks giving post since we will be out of town tomorrow. Hope everyone has a Happy Turkey day! Hope you enjoy seeing what I am most Grateful for!

So, you might be thinking ..I've seen this before. KI is having a blog challenge using the Grateful line and this is my favorite project! I also wanted to say I am so proud of my mom for hanging this baby up at her house. I was so sad when my husband wouldn't let me hang it here. I can't wait to change it out for Christmas!
Can't believe Thanks- giving is right around the corner! Broke out my KI Grateful papers and played with them. This layout came out so fast, I'm not sure I'm totally happy with it, but I am just so in LOVE with those pics of Austin! Can't get any better than that. Today was my last day of free time before the holiday break. I bought a new chair and painted it red. Believe it or not it was on my "to do" list. Isn't that on everyone's? It is beautiful!! Made me so silly with happiness I took a picture of myself standing in the yard, sun on my face and wind blowing through my hair! Hey, where do you think the little squirrel gets it from?? Enjoy your Tuesday!!

Here is my altered book for my Guest Designer spot at CMK. It's not quite what I dreamed it would be, but with the way I've been feeling, I'm glad I finished it. I used the pics I took at camp of Lydie and I. I do love 7 Gypsies albums. You can really junk these things up! My kind of stuff!!

This will be my second time in Paper Trends. The first will be Feb/March. Just thought I would share since I actually had some news for once! I am off to work today, so Happy Friday everyone!!

I have slipped on my blog a little. Just nothing exciting going on and I'm still sick. Can't get rid of this stupid cold and I think it is killing my mojo. I have a pile of projects and homework to finish. My mom's family is coming to my house for Thanksgiving this weekend. I think I might be expected to cook something. This is not my area. So, since I have nothing else to entertain you in the picture department, here's a pic of me stirring up something chocolate. Actually, I think my mom stepped away to use the restroom and I was just eating batter. Yeah, I'm some cook. Maybe I can be in charge of the cranberries in a can! What do you think mom? I had a bit of whining about from someone, and you know who you are! So, I changed my blogger account so anyone can post a comment, you don't have to have a blogger account. I did this for my blogger challenged family, so they could share, but please keep it tasteful so I don't have to change it!

You didn't really think I had been throwing away the lids to all these cute little cans I have been altering did you? No way. I have been planning to make ornaments out of them, but since I had 3 white ones, I decided tomake a snow man, or snow girl, I guess. Ashley and I named her Joy! I wanted to put more buttons and things on the inside of the lids around the pics, but Ashley said enough was enough, it looked just fine. Yeah, that button smile is pretty cute!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Okay, not really. It's almost t-shirt weather here today. I just love making these little cans. They are so quick and easy and I am using up some of my Paper Bliss felt friends I have had forever!! It doesn't hurt I use my Crop-a-Dile whenever possible! These are great to put on my desk at school for pencils. The kids get such a kick out of them!

Creations Unlimited is having their 2nd annual Holiday Open House next weekend..November 11th. Want to come by and make something fun with me? This is one little sweet thing I will be making in a mini class. I will also be doing a card set and a magnet frame for the fridge. There's a link to the store at the right if you are interested. You can also e-mail me (firstname.lastname@example.org). I never pass up a chance to use my Crop-a-Dile! The Joplin teachers are also coming to play! There will be lots of other mini classes going on if this doesn't strike your fancy! If you'd like a closer look, just click on the image to enlarge it and click again to make it even bigger!
Did I tell you the good news? Last week I had a good mail day!! I am guest designer at CMK (Create My Keepsake) this month. There is a link to the website at the right side of my blog if you would like to go there and check it out. I was sent a really cool package of 7 Gypsies supplies to create my layouts/projects with. So glad 7 Gypsies is the sponsor this month. They have great stuff and you all know how I love to add "stuff to my layouts! I had lots of fun doing these. Hope you enjoy. CMK is a great place to go if you need a scrappy place on the web. Rebecca is ALWAYS having wonderful sales and the girls are great in the forum to answer all your questions and chat with you about anything (scrappy or not)! The gallery is packed with inspiration! There is also a 7 Gyspies layout contest going on right now. I just got this really cute 7 Gypsies stamp, but I think it went to Illinois to visit. I sure missed it while I did these layouts. Oh well. I still have a 7 Gypsies journal to finish! Can't wait to work on that baby!

So we had a birthday in the family! Okay, technically it was last week. I'm really bad with birthdays! Better late than never. I don't think she even reads this, but I did want to say I hope she took a little time out for herself on her special day. Saying happy birthday to someone isn't just saying...Happy day! It's like saying, "So glad you were born! It makes a difference to ME that you are here." My friend calls me every year on my birthday and she always makes me feel just that way. Like it matters to her that I am here. I hope someone made my mother-in-law feel that way, because it probably wasn't me, although she definitely matters to me. Not just to me. This woman has a servant's heart. I tried to call her the other day and my father-in-law said she was doing Share-Your-Christmas and to try back after that was over. He's not kidding. People sign up for baskets of things they need and she works with all these other wonderful people to fill their needs so they don't go without during the holiday season. After deliveries are done in mid December I guess I can try back. Yet, somehow she had the time to send home a pumpkin pie with the grandkids this weekend. See what I mean! Servant's heart!

Another Day of Work! Ashley got to cut off the principal's tie! We have the best principal! We will miss him next year when he retires. The kids get to cut off his tie for every 25 books they read. She had read more than 25, but it's so hard to keep track sometimes. The pics I took weren't very good, so in honor of her accomplish -ment. Here's a little mini album I did for some of her 1st grade moments. There is journaling on the back of the pages. It's a Daisy D's Cd folder I did for Creations. It just took like 30 minutes. I've had it for awhile. Doesn't she look little!

It's Thursday, which means it's time for me to work! I love my job, but on the weeks I only work 2 days it's really hard to go on Thursday. I haven't done much scrapping, so here is my last project. In home of me going to work... a little teacher project! Sweet, huh? What lucky teacher should I give this to? Or maybe I should just leave it in the workroom all year?

We had so much fun last night. The traditional Halloween night at Grandma's. Why? Because we are too cheap to buy our own candy! Grandma and Ash sit on the porch, pass out candy and count the trick-or-treaters. Austin really likes to do the trick-or-treating himself. I tried to get out early before it got dark and try out the new lens my OH-SO-NICE brother-in-law loaned me, but as usual I forgot half Ash's costume and had to go back home. I did get a couple of good shots. I think I'm loving the lens. Hmmm...would make a nice Christmas present. Mom, are you reading this? LOL! Can't wait to scrap my collection of Halloween pics. Too bad I have homework coming out the wazoo! Just a few more weeks and then a break! Would like to post more pics, but the Power Point is calling me.
